LES Singapore held a joint seminar with NTUitive on Thursday 25 July 2019 at The Meeting Point, JTC Launchpad 2 One-North. The featured speaker was Mr Samir Dixit, Managing Director of Brand Finance Asia Pacific. During the seminar, Samir explained to the participants the importance of protecting a company’s brand. He provided interesting examples of organisations that have differentiated themselves by properly managing their brand and how they have obtained great commercial value from exploitation of their brand reputation. He gave a detailed account of the different methodologies in arriving at a value for a brand as well as international financial reporting standards. After the engaging session, the participants were invited to a sumptuous buffet and spent the evening asking Samir further questions on brand valuation and networking with fellow professionals.
